DashThis already supports Facebook Insights for your Facebook pages and Facebook Ads for all your Facebook advertising campaigns. But more and more clients, web agencies and marketers, now use Facebook Business Manager to manage their pages and ad campaigns. Here’s how to hook it up in DashThis!
First off, Facebook Business Manager is like an extra layer on what’s already available. It’s the tool that allows you to manage everything in one place, which is pretty useful for web agencies.
How to connect your Facebook Business Manager account into DashThis
Go into your Business Manager and find the account you’d like to connect. Get the Ad Account Id:
Then, go into your DashThis authorization page and add a new Facebook Ads account. The Facebook user you connect, most likely your own personal account, must be an authorized user in your Facebook Business Manager account (select account > settings > ad account roles).

Since the launch of our Facebook Ads integration release few days ago, we received lots of great comments. One important thing was missing though: The possibility to better segment by Actions your Facebook Ads dashboard.
Thus, we added a better support of Facebook Ads actions. You can now filter by action type (like, comment, offline conversion, etc) and create a widget using the action type dimension.
To avoid confusion, Facebook Ads actions are the same thing as a conversion.
Note that filtering by action type or using the action type dimension requires you use the actions or unique actions metric.

It’s been a long journey since we applied to become an authorized Facebook Ads API developer part of their Preferrered Marketing Developers program (PMD). DashThis now hits a milestone by releasing its integration of the Facebook Ads report stats API. That makes us one of the few reporting solution providers to offer such integration.
Many of our clients will enjoy that news as much as we do! In other words, you can now create Facebook Ads dashboards using the various metrics and dimensions provided by the Facebook Ads API.
We created the following standard KPIs available from the Indicators drop down menu:
- Click-Through Ratio (CTR)
- Cost per 1000 People Reached
- Social Clicks
- Top Campaigns (Clicks)
What are the metrics and dimensions available from the advanced editor?
- Ad Group
- Ad Placement
- Ad Clicks
- Ad Cost
- Ad Impressions
- Click-Through-Rate (CTR)
- Cost Per 1000 People Reached
- Cost Per Click (CPC)
- Cost Per Thousand Impressions (CPM)
- Social Clicks
- Total Actions
- Total Unique Actions
- Unique Clicks
- Unique CPC
- Unique CTR
- Unique Impressions
What’s more, the advanced editor allow you to filter on campaign names by using the “contains” operator.
NOTE: You need to provide your Facebook Ads account ID when connecting your account. You can find the account ID in your Facebook Ads account.
