Create Mailchimp Dashboards Using MailChimp API

Mailchimp Dashboard easy with dashthis

Mailchimp is a well know email marketing service provider having more than 3.5 million users. More than 4 billion emails are sent each month using this service. Many of our users rely on Mailchimp for their email marketing. That’s why we just integrated Mailchimp API into DashThis. You can now create mailchimp dashboards and reports using various Mailchimp metrics and dimensions.

We created the following standard KPIs available from the Indicators drop down menu:

  • Top Campaigns (Unique Open Rate)
  • Top Mailing Lists (Member Count)
  • Unique Open Rate
  • Users who Clicked Rate

Variation of the “Users Who Clicked Rate” Metric in Campaign Monitor and MailChimp

It seems like the way we should calculate the “Users who clicked rate” metric in Campaign Monitor and MailChimp differs from a person to another. We used to calculate it as “Number of clicks / Number of email sent”, but some users would prefer use “Number of clicks / Number of email opened”.

Since DashThis is very flexible and that we take good care of our clients, we just added this new metric “Users Who Clicked Rate (Clicks/Opens)”. And for clarity, we renamed the first one to “Users Who Clicked Rate (Clicks/Recipients)”.

You can now use both metrics as you see fit. Those are available from the Advanced Editor.
