New Marchex Call Tracking Dashboard Templates

We have created 3 new dashboard templates for Marchex. One for each of our Rolling, Periodic and Campaign views. We have several clients using this call tracking tool. Now they can start a new dashboard from one of those templates.

Among the widgets from those templates:

  • Number of calls
  • Average call duration
  • Call by status
  • Calls by campaign
  • Calls by group

Of course, you can still update them as required. Don’t forget that you can use the Advanced Editor to create widgets with filtered data. You can filter on Campaigns and Groups.

Create Dashboards using Marchex Call Tracking API

Marchex is widely used to track calls. One particular feature is its API that makes it easy to integrate into existing systems and reporting infrastructure. Thus, we recently integrated the Marchex Call Tracking API into DashThis.

We created the following standard KPIs available from the Indicators drop down menu:

  • Total number of calls
  • Calls by campaign
  • Calls by group

What are the metrics and dimensions available?

Dimensions are:

  • Ad Group
  • Call Status
  • Campaign

Metrics are:

  • Average call duration
  • Number of calls

Create a Dashboard Integrating Call Tracking Data

Nowadays, more and more managers want their offline metrics to be included in their dashboard. If it’s easy to do this for Google Analytics, it’s not that obvious for other systems such as call tracking services.

Fortunately, most call tracking systems vendors offer a way to access their data. Mostly by an API.

So if your call center has a system providing some sort of API then it can be included within DashThis really quickly.

At this time, we have integrated Marchex Call Analytics, Avanser and KeyMetric.

How to integrate your call tracking’s data to a dashboard?

Once the provider’s API has been integrated, you simply choose the call tracking data source when you create a new dashboard. Predefined widgets as well as some metrics and dimensions will be available for you to use.
