*Root domain metrics not working? Why?

Moz has two layers of API access. The first one is free, but it’s limited in terms of the metrics you can query from this kind of report.

All Root domain metrics are only available for their customers with the paid version of MOZscape API.

Here’s all the details:

Some notes:

  • To get full advantage of their API, you should have a paid access to their API.
  • The username is your Access ID code. The password is your API key.
  • There’s no historical data in the API. We’ll keep the historical data the moment you create any Moz widget to ensure the numbers will evolve over time.

Moz integration and source is a bit tricky. You have to generate your API credentials in your MOZ account.

Once you created your API key, you’ll get an Access ID along with a Secret API Key.

Here’s how Moz it works:

1- Data Authorization:
Access ID: the Access ID you receive from Moz (after clicking Manage Mozcape API Key)
Secret Key: the secret key you receive from Moz

2- Add source:

Name: (Name of your source for future reference; this can be anything you like)

Key or provider key: Enter the client url you want to connect. ex: abc.com
